5A really good investment for quality, stylish, durable sun protection!!!!!  Feb 21, 2012 By A. Roberson "ARJ"
These pair of Ray Ban 3026 are perfect for me; however, they are not for everyone. The 3026's are the largest size of the classic (They are actually a 2nd edition, but are the same as the original) style RB Aviator sunglasses they offer. With that said, these shades are mostly for people who have larger faces, longer faces, or a overall larger body (height and or frame). As foe me, I am 6'2-6'3, and 180 pounds with a normal body frame and a pretty big head! Anyways... I prefer the larger shades to ones that just cover the eyes, and these 62mm shades sit right above my cheek bone and cover my eyebrows on the top. My point of all of that is, you are probably best going to a Ray Ban retailer, or finding a friend who has a pair of the medium(58mm) ones to try it on.

As for the build; from this particular seller ( HDO Sport, which happened to be the only seller of the large black RB3026's to offer amazon prime) I can validate that these are 100% Authentic Ray Ban's. They have the white lettering in the right shade, the very fine RB etching on the left shade, and also all of the other common points of authentication on the nose pieces, and inside of the frame. The Frame itself is all metal, and this is something you appreciate when you have owned a few pairs of cheaper shades. Even with these pair being all metal frames, they are still really light, and you do not have that feeling of a lot of weight being on you when you are wearing them.

The glass is pretty remarkable also. Since these do not have much metal to hold onto when handling, you are almost left with no choice but to touch the glass, and i can say that it handles finger prints quite well. I went two days of talking the on and off without wiping the glass on purpose and I actually made the glass dirty from wiping it because of the lint I added! Sun protection is good as you should expect also, these pair are the 6-15 lens color. They appear to be black, but they have a light green tint to them and everything is still clear while blocking UV rays,

To sum it all up, these are stylish, sturdy, and most importantly, great sunglasses. The aviator style has been relevant for as long as I can remember in my 23 years on this earth, along with being a good compliment to a vast amount of dressing styles! If you have a way of trying on this large size however, please do because it might be a tad bit overwhelming for people with smaller faces.
