BEAUTIFUL Apr 25, 2010
I purchased the animal print for $119.XX, which is an amazing deal. You can't tell by the picture (at least I couldn't) and it isn't in the description but animal print is a smoothe fur with leather accents. I thought the entire bag was leather as the solid color bags are. The bag would not have caught my eye if it were all one color. The animal print makes the bag unique and fashionable.
This bag is normally $298 and worth every penny. I am trying to talk myself into using it all year around. I think it would probably be considered an autumn/winter bag but I used it for the first time today and I LOVE it!
The 2 side pockets are very deep. I can fit my small umbrella and/or water bottle in one of the pockets, I would not do that but I can. My iphone which doesn't fit in most of my other outter handbag pockets fit with room to spare. It has the B. Makowsky signature cell phone "pocket" which is a slit in the back but my iphone sticks out. It can be used for hand sanitizer, mints, gum or whatever but I keep it empty because I don't want the bulk showing through.
The interior has the 2 standard pockets and zipper portion on the wall. The interior has that lovely animal print and there's very nice zipper pulls. I LOVE the zippers. I have several B. Makowsky bags and this is the first one with a zipper instead of a magnet closure. There's no zipper divider creating 2 large sections inside, just one section. That's the only thing I don't like about it. Also, the hardware is gold, I prefer silver.
Another potential problem could be that the handles are not that long so when it's on your/my arm, the bag sits right under my arm. There's no room, the bag is touching my underarm. I prefer longer handles for a bag of this size (large bag).
There are various earthtone hues, browns, tans, beiges, cream and soft black so the bag goes with everything. This is my absolute favorite bag and what a steal!
