I have several B. Makowsky bags. First let me tell you that he updated the back slip pocket (which he has on all bags) too fit a PDA/Blackberry/Iphone! This bag is so functional. The zipper part opens really wide, and you can fit a ton into this medium 11" bag. Outside Pocket - Large can hold lots - beautiful lock - 2 compartments (one on either side of the zipper compartments) so functional and deep, and also open wide. My ONLY complaint is the handle drop could be one inch longer - a bit too small to wear with a jacket on. Beautiful leather (I got mine in pastashio green), quality, quality, qaulity. Pretty burgandy-wine colored lining. Five Stars for this baby - well worth the price.

I am a petite woman but love a bigger sized bag. Initially I purchased the Rockefeller large satchel which looked absolutely beautiful in the store. Once I got it home and filled it, it looked terribly oversized and sloppy. I immediately returned it for the Astor medium sized satchel. I absolutely love it and find that it holds way more than one would think. Unless you are looking for a travel bag, I would not purchase another one of Makowsky's handbags in the large satchel size.

I have a few other B. Makowsky bags but this one is the best. I have the brown and pistachio color. Not only was it a GREAT deal the leather is soft and pilable the the lining is purple and feels like silk. It has a middle zip section which I love and two other sections. In addition it has a compartment on the outside that holds your cell phone and a front compartment that can hold keys of whatever you want. A dust bag that comes with it and has an inside key holder. I shop with a major TV retailer that has these bags, but Amazon has the best price. I am glad that I did not hestitate and I strongly encourage anyone on the fence to get off the fence and purchase. You cannot beat the price and the QUALITY is outstanding. This bag even has feet. I love the color it will be perfect for fall/winter season. It is the perfect size and I love it. I will look to Amazon to purchase the other Astor Satchel handbags as well. THANK YOU AMAZON. Thank you.
